Pet First Aid
Pet first aid provides a fun, hands-on education for pet parents (cat or dog) and pet professional. In this 10 hour course you will learn how to prevent pet emergencies and provide care if they do happen.
Your pet/people friendly dog is welcome in class!
Course Content:
- Immediate steps to take in an emergency
- What to include in your Pet First Aid kit
- How to safely approach an injured animal
- How to complete a head to toe assessment
- How to restrain & transport an injured animal
- How to prevent common illness & injuries
- Recognition of common illness and injury
- How to stop bleeding
- Choking
- Artificial respiration
- CPR
- How to give your pet medications
- How to treat injuries (Bone, Ear, Eye)
- What to do for: Poisoning, Frostbite, Hypothermia, Heat Stroke, Burns
