BLS-Basic Life Support
This Heart & Stroke Foundation’s course is designed for healthcare providers, and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings or by those that require Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and CPR training to enter into a healthcare-related training. Professional associations such as dental professionals and chiropractors may also require BLS. Course Content:-
- Chain of Survival
- High-quality chest compressions with a feedback device
- 1-rescuer / 2-rescuer/ multi-rescuer team CPR
- Adult, Child and Infant CPR
- Adult, Child and Infant relief of choking
- Use of an AED
- Effective ventilations using a barrier device and bag-mask device
- Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
- Heart attack and stroke
BLS Original is a 4 hr course with no pre-requisites BLS Renewal is a 2 hr course with the pre-requisite of a current Heart & Stroke BLS provider certification
