This course provides candidates with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach Canadian Red Cross first aid and CPR courses. The candidates are expected to have finely tuned first aid and CPR technical skills. Therefore, this course focuses on how to teach and facilitate first aid and CPR skills.
Prerequisites:
- Hold a current Standard First Aid & CPR-C certificate
- Be at least 18 years of age
Completion Requirements:
- Skills testing
- Online Fundamentals of Instruction approximately 8 hours
- 36 hours classroom including in-class micro teaching
- Complete practice teaching after successful completion of the above
Course Dates:
- May 13/14, & May 27/28 2023. Skills testing and Online Fundamentals of Instruction must be completed before April 29,2023
- June 26, 27, 28, 29,2023. Skills testing and Online Fundamentals of Instruction must be completed before June 26,2023
- Sept. 9/10 & Sept. 23/24,2023. Skills testing and Online Fundamentals of Instruction must be completed before Sept. 9,2023
- Oct. 19/20 & Oct. 23/24,2023. Skills testing and Online Fundamentals of Instruction must be completed before Oct. 19,2023
